Psoriasis Treatment

Psoriasis is an inflammatory disorder that appears on the skin as red patches covered with silver-white scales. The scales are produced due to a higher amount of epidermal cells reproducing at a faster rate than normal in an area. Psoriasis is largely hereditary and is not contagious.

Psoriasis can be uncomfortable and irritating, leaving the skin itchy and red in affected areas. It often affects the elbows, knees, scalp, lower back and can even appear under the nails.
